Can my wife and I switch sim cards in our Cingular phones if we want to trade phones?

Basically, we have come to the conclusion that we each like the other's phone. Both phones are on the same account. We can't simply trade phones because we would have to let all of our business contacts know we have new numbers. Can we just trade phones and switch the sim cards to keep our own phone numbers?

Can my wife and I switch sim cards in our Cingular phones if we want to trade phones?
You sure can.. me and my husband did the same thing not to long ago but.....

~CAUTION WARNING~

Be sure to save all of your telephone numbers to your SIM not just to the phone...there is an option to save all to SIM. Do that before you switch or like my husband you will lose whatever numbers were saved just to the phone.
Reply:You sure can trade but to make it easier write down the important phone numbers in case you lose them . But try to make sure the numbers on the phone is saved to the Sim card. Then tell your wife the same if you want to . Report Abuse

Reply:i think so. i did it with my mom's phone, but we both have RazR's...just different colors.

Just make sure you save your phone book to your sim card so you have all of oyur contacts!
Reply:Of Course You Can! All You Do Is Take Out The Battery(if necessary) And Take Out The Sim Card. I'm With AT%26amp;T. It's Not Called Cingular Anymore. But For My Phone I Don't Need To Take Out The Battery. My Phone Is The iPhone.
