If you have an unlocked phone that uses sim cards can you use it on a non sim card network like verizon?

ok so if i have new cell that uses a sim card, can it work with a non sim card network (verizon)

If you have an unlocked phone that uses sim cards can you use it on a non sim card network like verizon?
GSM technology (the kind that uses SIM cards) is different from CDMA technology (no SIM card, used on Verizon and Sprint networks) are two different technologies and the phones off one kind do not work on the other kind. I believe it is not possible to use Sprint on Verizon and vice versa.

There are a few phones on the market (pretty expensive ones, at that) that are capable of working on both technologies, but you're talking 100s of $$ for one of those.
Reply:i doubt it

verizon has a different cellular technology from sim card using companies like at%26amp;t

verizon has cdma phones while at%26amp;t has gsm phones
Reply:no you can't the only way a sim cards work is throughout the cingular and tomobile era!!!!
Reply:No, phones that use sim cards are GSM and non sim card phones are CDMA networks. It will not work.
Reply:No you can not. Vzw has a secure network which is code division multiple access (cdma).

Other networks are not geared for this technology.
