I am about to purchase an UNLOCKED GSM and trying to figure out the companies that will have a SIM card included.
What companies uses SIM cards?
Are you American? If you're looking for a national carrier only AT%26amp;T and T-Mobile use GSM.
Once you get your unlocked phone, just go to a company store and ask them you want to set up a new line with your own phone, and you just need a new sim card. the card will be $25, plus the cost of activation, etc.

Reply:T-Mobile and AT%26amp;T. You have to be careful, since the frequencies for both companies is not the same. So, even some tri-band phones may not work on both networks. You could play safe and buy a quad-band phone. Or, before purchasing the phone, make sure that the frequencies of that phone are compatible with both providers. By the way, if you know which network you're going to sign up with, they will give you a choice from some very good phones (2-year contract) free of cost.

Even if your mobile phone is locked to a network you can still unlock it. The whole process takes about 2 minutes just go to google, type "how to unlock a 6600 phone" and google it. note that 6600 is just a sample. put your mobile phone model following with your make instead

What the cheapest SIM card i can buy to get a mobile number in london?
I have never been in london, before, but i need to get a SIM card so i can get a mobile number in london and be reached. I've seen vodafone and t mobile websites, and although they seem to sell SIM cards at 50p and free, respectively, I don't know what's bets. Besides, i need to know if there's one distributor of those companies in the heathrow airport so i can buy my SIM as soon as i get to London, any information will be appreciated.

The problem is you won't have time to get the free SIM card from the website, Also you will need to have your phone unlocked for another company's SIM card to work in your phone. I think your best bet is probably going to the Vodafone store in Heathrow Terminal 1 and picking up a SIM for about £5. Or find out from your current mobile provider who the English equivalent is - getting your phone unlocked can cost about £10-£20 so getting the wrong SIM card could prove very pricey.

make sure u keep some credit on there though otherwise u lose the free messages.
call charges are reasonable too.
