T-mobile, Alltel, Cingular/ATT,
basicaly any GSM phone (best if tri-band)
Which cell phone companies have SIM cards that work in the US and Mexico?
I know T Mobile has coverage in mexico and i believe AT%26amp;T does as well. With T Mobile you have to activate the international roaming before you can use it outside of the U.S. Its free to have the international roaming with T Mobile, you only get charged when you use the phone outside of the U.S. I have several phones that I offer through both carriers. Oh and make sure the phone is either a world phone or is a quad band. Other countries use different bands than we use to transmit cellular signal. here is a link to my store

Can you just buy a phone w/o the sim cards at t-mobile?
you can use any"unlocked" phone...doesn't have to be t-Mobile as long its unlocked!!
Reply:ok this is the last time i'm gonna say it!
you just need to have the phone unlocked! most phones these days have a network lock that meens you can only use there sim card in there phone, having your phone unlocked makes it able to use any sim.

Dont think you can.
How can i find out if a phone is unlocked but I have no other sim cards to try it out with?
if you have current service with a cell provider. call the customer service line and ask for the subsidy unlock code for your model phone. it will work on other networks, but may not support all features of that network. for example internet.
Reply:go and buy a sim card. or borrow someone elses sim.
Reply:Borrow a SIM card ( with a different provider) from someone else %26amp; try it out. Couldn't be simpler !
Reply:IM AFRAID U WILL HAVE 2 GET ANOTHER SIM CARD COZ THERE IS NO OTHER WAI 2 C BOUT IT

Which cellular service providers still use SIM cards?
I am currently with Cellular One and I bought a SLVR off of ebay. My contract is going to run out soon, if it has'nt already, and I would like to know my options. (particularly something with leniant incoming text messages.) I want to keep my SLVR, so I would probably need to find a provider that also uses SIM cards.
Which cellular service providers still use SIM cards?
T-Mobile, AT%26amp;T(Cingular)
Reply:I know Tmoblie and Verizon do and I hae Sprint and I know they do not

Reply:"Still" use SIM cards is the wrong way to look at it. Almost all mobile operators outside the US use SIM cards and most of the US operators are moving in that direction. So the trend is toward more use of SIM cards, not less. The use of a SIM card indicates that the operator is providing service over a GSM network. In the US, Cingular and T-Mobile are the largest operators using a GSM network that should support your SLVR. Note that some operators lock their phones so they can't be used outside their network. But, since you purchased yours on eBay, I'll assume you got an unlocked one that should work with any GSM provider in the US. Just stay away from Verizon or Sprint/Nextel, since their phones use a different network that is not compatible with your phone.
Reply:T-mobile, Cingular, Nextel, Sprint, Verizon, all prepaid ones.

Reply:only t mobile and cingular. sprint and verizon DO NOT use sim cards.
Reply:T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT%26amp;T. Pretty much all of them. Make sure your phone is unlocked though.

Which cellular services use SIM cards on phones?
I want to use my Sony Ericsson phone on a different network, by swapping the SIM card. Which service providers use SIM cards?
Which cellular services use SIM cards on phones?
Hi there,
SIM cards are used by GSM providers. In the U.S., the major GSM providers are AT%26amp;T (formerly Cingular) and T-Mobile. There are also smaller regional providers that use GSM as well depending on where you live. CDMA providers such as Verizon, Sprint, Alltel and U.S. Cellular have networks that are not compatible with phones that use GSM and SIM cards.
Hope this helps!
Reply:Another thing to consider is, most cell companies lock the phones to their network so changing to another network you may need to get the un-lock code for your model phone. Good Luck..

Switching to phones with sim cards?
My friend recently broke his phone, which doesn't run off of a sim card. I would give him my old phone, which does run off a sim card, but I'm not sure if that would work. Is there any way to make my phone compatible for him?

Does US Cellular use SIM cards?
I'm going to buy a Unlocked to all networks phone, that the seller said will only work with a SIM card. Does US Cellular use SIM cards or is there another way for them to activate the phone?
Does US Cellular use SIM cards?
from what i understand, US Cellular is a CDMA cell group.
meaning they are just like verizon, they dont use Sim cards.
Reply:Sim cards are for GSM phones, which is a different digital "language" than others, and US Cellular is CDMA
