Alright i have a question about sim cards in cell phones?

Okay i bought a phone it is a cingular, i bought it unlocked. The plan that they want to give me does not suit what i want in my cell phone. If i bought like one of those pre-paid phones and took out the sim card and put it in my cingular phone will the cingular phone work like the pre-paid one? All answers will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Alright i have a question about sim cards in cell phones?
The sim card in the pre-paid phone is there simply to store information, not affect the functions or options of your cellphone. All cellphones have different functions and/or options and what I would do is return the unblocked cellphone to the seller if the phone doesn't have the capabilities that you want. I would go to your local Cingular retail store and find a phone THERE that has the options you want and then find a plan that suits you. The plan you pick should not be dependent on the type phone you use. Some phones will "do" plenty of things that you might not need it to do or want it to do. If you explain to the Cingular salesperson exactly what you want, they should be able to find you the precise phone you need and then the plan that you need. PLUS, if you should have a problem with your phone, you have 30 days to return it and you will be able to do that at the store you purchased it at AND if you should have a problem with the phone within the year warranty period, it's easy to get service by simply going into the store or by calling customer service at 611. No having to mail the phone back and all that nonsense. Good luck!~
Reply:It should if its a unlocked phone, other wise buy a cingular pre-paid and I know that will work.
Reply:Of the phone is unlocked and a GSM you can swap sims and switch between networks easily. Most Cingular and AT%26amp;T phones with sim cards are GSM phones.
