i've never had a phone that needs a sim card so i don't know anything about it. I'm planning on getting a plan with cingular/at %26amp;t getting a free phone and then buying a new one from e bay. they say it works for cingular phones when i look at product info but has anyone tried this and had success.

yes it works for t-mobile and cingular because they have sim card phones. you just have to buy the new phone and when you get it you put your sim card in and it will work.
Reply:A Sim card will work in any phone that takes a Sim card. I suggest always having a phone with a Sim card, that way if your phone breaks or something, you will always have all your important stuff on your Sim card.
