Do american sold cell phones carry SIM cards if so are there specific carriers who do?

SIM cards are basically the heart of your cel phone it holds all information including your cell phone number etc... the phone will not work without the SIM card in it....might be called something else in the U.S

T-mobile and Cingular are two major carriers using sim cards and have a very wide network.





Sprint and verizon are providers you wanna avoid as they are CDMA phones ( the one with out sim cards)
Reply:yeah us carriers do use sim cards but only tmobile and att. verizon, sprint, alltel, cricket, etc. use cdma instead. so as long as you get a tmobile or att phone your good but you need to make sure you get it unlocked cause if its not unlocked it will only take that carriers sim card
