Do new cell phones no longer come w/ sim cards?

I'm shopping around for a new phone but need to make sure it comes w/ a sim card in case I change phones again and because I hate those SD Cards. So far in checking out descriptions of new phones, nothing seems to include a sim card. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the help...

Do new cell phones no longer come w/ sim cards?
a SIM card has nothing to do with SD card.

An SD card is for storing stuff,

while a SIM card is for GSM phones (AT%26amp;T and Tmobile). GSM is just the frequency and technology that the phone uses.
Reply:GSM phones use SIM cards and CDMA phones do not. Some countries have both GSM and CDMA networks, while others have only one type.

Some GSM phones are sold with a SIM card while others are sold without one - in the latter case, you just buy a SIM card separately from your network of choice.
Reply:well perhaps I can help. I sell cell phones for walmart. only two major companies use sim cards. At%26amp;t and Tmobile. Tmobile puts sim cards in the box and at%26amp;t does not. as far as an sd card that is something totally seperate, and is used for extra memory, and depending on your phone you might need it. I hope this helps
Reply:I'm pretty sure all phones come with sim cards. They just don't mention it on the description of the phones because the sim card are provided by the cell phone company.
Reply:All ATT and T-Mobile phones come with Sim cards. You can get a high rated phone with a sim card at zero cost here: http://www.tmiwireless.com/?aid=24197

  1. Hi, if I might add. the new cell phones for sale come with SIM cards. this depends on what carrier has the phone. Verizon and Tmobile has different platform than Sprint and ATT. hope that helps. Thanks
