I was wondering if i keep nextel service can i just switch sim cards from my current phone (motorola i560) to on i would like to buy off the internet (blackberry)

there should be no problem. i had cingular, they use sim cards too, and i would switch all the time. the only thing u have to worry about if if the blackberry is on the same tower frequencies. when i first got a phone i wanted an a certain model but when i went to get it the people at cingular told me that the phone didn't adapt to their new technology. it is a blackberry so u should have no problem
