Are mobile phones supposed to come with sim cards??

I bought a mobile ph from ebay %26amp; I have just recharged the battery, but it says please insert sim card, but I never got any sim card.

It easy to buy a sim card from a mobile phone shop of your choice. It is also a good idea if visiting another country to buy one in the country you are visiting. This way you are not hammered with expensive roaming charges that you have to pay even if receiving calls. Also if you like your phone network provider you can switch you sim into a new mobile phone thereby keeping same number and phone book records etc.
Reply:sim cards are like memory cards. whatever phone numbers you have saved on your phone will be saved to that card. and when you take it out and put into another phone with a sim card slot all your info will be on that phone.
