Currently I have nokia 6102, I want to buy the nokia 6131 (unlocked) and just switch the sim card from the 6102. I am with Cingular and they do not the 6131. Can this be done without a problem and do I need to let Cingular know I have switched phones or will my service not perform correctly?

You can use your sim card and no you do not need to alert cingular that you are using a unlocked phone. Just make sure that the phone uses a band that is supported by Cingular.
Reply:The sim card will work fine and so will the phone. Just let Cingular know about the change so they can update their info on your a/c.
