i have been thinking of buying the nokia n95, an unlocked one. was planning on using a sim card from another country so that they will be able to text me in an affordable way for them. i have the iphone right now and its only at at%26amp;t. so, i can`t use other sim cards. hope somebody out there knows about this kind of stuff and will answer my question. thanks....
Please answer asap....can all unlocked cellphones accept sim cards even from other countries?
Yes, they do work. I have an unlocked HTC Touch that was made for the European market and use it with an AT%26amp;T sim card - all the text messaging, mms and internet work on it but it did take some setup first. Fortunately, all the info you need for that setup is on the AT%26amp;T wireless web site :)
Reply:I cant say i know for ALL other countries, but i have used a cell fone bought in the UK, had it unlocked there and it has worked in africa with their sim cards without any problem. And thats been on a variety of phones including a Nokia. also they have used their phones bought there in the UK with a uk sim card and they work just fine
